The First Leg of Run United 2011 is Here!

To all you running enthusiasts, here's a treat!  The RunRio team just announced details on the first leg of Run United 2011!  I am excited as this will officially be my first 5K Run - one of my running goals for 2011!  The husbo will run pace with me so he will just be running 5K  also - awww SWEET! Here are the details of this event:

Run United 2011 is on March 6, 2011 at the Bonifacio Global City. It promises to be the biggest family event this 2011 boasting of 4 race categories, 500m (for kids), 5K, 10K, and 21K!  


Registration periods are:

  • Online registration - starts January 31, 2011 and ends February 21, 2011.  Important note: Please be informed that there is a P150 delivery fee and P93.75 processing fee if you register online.  This is not included on the organizer's website, so don't get surprised when you do the online registration. If you are registerting for the 5k or 10k, your total amount may be at P843.75 when you register online.  Please also check how much was charged to your credit card.  Mine was charged extra P16.06 (total of P859.81 was charged) from the grand total indicated.  I am still trying to call the RunRio team for clarification but the line is always busy. I sent an email about it and will try calling them again. I will update you on the status.  
  • Regular in store registration - starts January 31st and ends earlier, February 13, 2011. The venues are:

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • 500M is open to 5-12 years old. Parent / Guardian must be present during registration.
  • Registration may end earlier than announced deadline therefore, race kits may run out before February 26,2010.
  • A valid ID must be presented upon registration. For group registration, a photocopy of any valid ID must be presented by the representative.
  • Singlet will be given to the first 10,000 registrants.
  • Singlet size availability will be on a first come first served basis.
  • A disposable timing device called a “D-tag” will be used by all participants during the race.
  • Medals will be given to all 21km finishers only.
  • Finisher’s kits will be given upon finishing the race.
  • Post Event packs will be delivered to the address you have specified during registration and will be delivered after the event. Registrants with incomplete addresses will not be delivered.
