THE ILOCOS EMPANADA

I am back! :) Sorry for being MIA, we took a trip North for the second time this year.  This time it was for Tito Andring's funeral.  It was a sad event but it was nice seeing family again, especially our cousins from Hawaii (who I met for the first time).  We stayed there for a week - a week of living the simple life.

The trip was memorable because I enjoyed eating Ilocos empanada for the first time.  I was able to eat it before but couldn't appreciate the taste of Sukang Iloco.  This time

A Vacation of Divine Favor

Imagine a place of pristine white sand and deep blue waters. Of luxurious accomodations with your very own beach beds with retractable curtains. Beachside bar swings with your very own Beach butlers to cater to your every need. Ah! That is the sweet life isn't it? How about a Gourmet-inclusive designed for food lovers where you will enjoy scrumptous food right at the beach. And cuba diving on the world's second largest reef? Excited? Well, that's not just a dream, there is truly a place like that and that's what Karisma Resort offers. A relaxing vacation fitting divine favor. A luxurious stay at the Riviera Maya. If adventure, luxury and relaxation is what you need, then go! You will not regret it.

Weekend Breaks

I honestly need a break. And with our 10th anniversary coming up, I really really need a couple of weekend breaks!

For those of you who work, I believe you know how important short breaks from the office is. It refreshes your mind and spirit and gives you that extra boost to give your best at work. It's a good idea to take even a few city breaks just to keep your mind of work for sometime. Believe me, I've seen and actually know people who just work and work and they honestly don't look good! I don't want to be like that!

That is why as early as now, I am planning for a couple of weekend breaks in the near future. I am currently searching for cheap flights and great holiday offers! I know I'm bound to find something as the holidays are fast approaching!

I'd love to visit Prague, Rome and Paris! Ooh Paris sounds really lovely for the husband and me! I just know it's going to be a romantic trip - just in time for our 3rd Wedding anniversary, don't you think? There's also Barcelona and Rome. Hmm..choices, choices and more choices! lol!

I'd really want to know your suggestion. Where do you think we should spend our 3rd wedding anniversary?

Overwhelmed

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by your dreams? Like you want to do a lot of different things at once?

Well, that's exactly how I feel right now. I feel like I've so much I want to do that 24 hours in a day isn't enough. First off, I want to learn photography, may be join a class. In connection with that, I'd like to take a trip to different places and just take pictures - lots of pictures. A Digital SLR camera is already in the works and I may be getting that around the end of this year but that's not an essential. I have my S3 and I want to put that to good use first. I guess I've been bitten by the photography bug huh?

Second on my list is HipHop dance classes. I know, I know, it's quite far out but really, I'd like to try joining a class one of these days. Anyone know any classes?

Third on my list is kick boxing. It interests me because I'd realy love to lose these extra weight.

And last but not the least, is learn how to drive. Well, a car is in plan but not in the nearest future. But hey, it's not bad to learn while the car isnt here - isn't it?

tsk tsk, overwhelming wants. I don't even know if I need these lol!

Monday and Ilocos

It's another manic Monday! :) How was your weekend? I've nothing to show for my weekend except me and the husband watching the 6th season of 24. We've just begun watching Heroes too and may I say it's another one in the favorites. Just a few more days until our Ilocos trip and I am excited. Haven't been to Ilocos yet so we'll be visiting a lot of places and sites. Pagudpud, Vigan and lots more! Time to put the S3 IS to the test! :) Apart from visiting a new place, I am ecstatic at the prospect of finally using the S3. I don't use it often because I commute to work and it's quite bulky. Makes me think about the EOS 400D, how am I supposed to lugger it around? :( Hah! I'd find a way somehow.

Travel Without the Hassles

I'm feeling quite frustrated the past few weeks. I don't know if it's stress from work or stress from home. Lol! I really think I need a break. June is fast approaching and I haven't been to any summer destinations. Pathetic life this is.

Hubby and I got to talking (well, chatting was more like it, with me at the office and him at home lol!, AIM is our best buddy these days) about taking a good vacation. We are planning a really romantic retreat. So, off I go to look for really cool but affordable destinations.

Of course being an online travel associate for a large online travel company before, I naturally went to their site. I was quite surprised to find out that I was having a hard time looking for great deals and destinations. I mean, here they were talking about hassle free travel when I am already encountering hassles just looking for something. I dare not imagine how it is when booking with them – more so while traveling with their services.

So I quickly left the site and continued my search and I came across a site that offers Hotel Discounts. They have great deals too! Plus the site was very user friendly, easy to navigate and understand. I also appreciate the fact that they have this destination guide that allows you to research and plan your trip with ease.

I had a wonderful time browsing through a lot of great hotel deals in my dream destinations such as France, Italy and Germany. Their listings were extensive and informative – literally anything you need to know is there. You can even browse by city! Additional options like car rentals, flights and vacation packages were also within a click of your mouse. Oh and the most interesting part? They have this $100 rebate going on right now. What more can you ask for?

Hubby and I haven’t decided on a final destination and package yet, but It was so much fun planning and all. Once we’ve made up our minds on a destination, we would definitely use HotelReservations.com. Truly, travel planning without the hassle!

Great Coupon Deals!

It was during my almost 1 year stint as a customer service representative for Expedia.com that my love for traveling blossomed. I traveled locally before but going to places internationally is my dream. I imagine myself walking Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, France. Or visit the St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice, Italy. I would often share the excitement of my customers when they book for their travel to these places for the first time.

One of the things I noticed though was most of the customers use Expedia coupons for their travel needs. Don’t get me wrong, Expedia has great travel deals but sometimes one only has a certain budget in mind. This stirred my curiosity and I immediately went and searched for sites that could offer great coupons. One of my favorite coupon website is Coupon Chief. They have a wide variety of coupons available from clothes, travel, gifts, health, you name it, and they’ve got it! I even went ahead and suggested this site to my customers and they found this website really useful too! Now, I’m off to dreaming about traveling again. Maybe someday I’d get to realize that dream, and when I do, you’d be sure that coupons are on top of my list of travel buddies.

Catching Fire!

Oooh! Another movie for me to watch out for! Catching Fire will come to theaters November 22, 2013!  Here's a sneak peek of the releas...
