What A Week!

It's been one big stressful week.  Lack of sleep and extra hours in the office.  I badly need a vacation.  My body is telling me to rest by exhibiting headaches and joint pains - or is that old age? LOL!

Anyway, I am going to sleep for hours this weekend.  As much as I'd like to go out and have a bit of fun, that will have to wait.  Sleep is the main agenda for now.

Oh and Kung Hei Fat Choi to my Chinese friends! I have to go now, work beckons.

Happy Friday everyone! :)

Halo-halo

It's 3AM and I am still awake. I've been waiting for some opportunities but none are available at the moment. That's okay, I've reached my quota for the day anyway. Also, I've already started to receive some payments on my PayPal Philippines account and it's now working yey! I just have to work on my Unionbank EON and I am all set.

Our Tita Bhie is here as well and we're having some fun. She's such a cool person, a cool mom! We had coffee til about 12AM and then watched some DVDs in our room after. We got hungry though so we ordered some burgers from McDonalds. And may I just say I am a tad disappointed at their service today? First they forgot the fries that were included on the 3 cheeseburger meals we ordered and they short changed me when I specifically asked change for 500 pesos when I called. So I decided to call again and reminded them to send the 3 fries and the change. When another rider arrived with the fries, he still did not have the 9 bucks of change they owe me. I know it's not much but hey, they should give what is due. The rider said we can just remind them of the 9 pesos when we order again. WTF? I will call them tomorrow to give them a piece of my mind, in a tactful and peacful manner, of course.

Sigh! Still no opps yet. I guess I'll do some bloghopping. I am not sleepy yet.

Weekend Itinerary

How is your weekend coming along? Mine's not really exciting lol! The husband and I just went to Gilmore today to buy additional memory for the other laptop. It's been really running slow for a couple of months now. And when I say slow, I mean s.l.o.w! Good thing we were still able to find one. We're back home now and both of us are trying to rest. Well, he's watching a movie and I on the other hand have a couple of assignments lined up so I'll be joining him soon :) Tomorrow, the husband and I along with my family will be going to the tiangge again. So that pretty much sums up my weekend itinerary, how about yours? :)

For the Love of Animals

I just have to post this.

My 3 year old Godson is watching the cartoon "Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron" for the second time in his whole 3 years. The first time was about a couple of months ago. We were watching it on my laptop. He was so happy seeing a lot of horses at the start of the movie. Then came this scene where the Indian family the horses were staying with was attacked and to save their beloved master, they jumped in between the gun shot (the bullet missed) and the horses were thrown towards the water and was carried off towards the waterfalls. Well of course they fell but didn't die naman. I felt him jump when the shot was fired but he was so into the movie that I never realized what he was into until he turned his face towards me. Lo and behold! Bucket of tears were falling from his face and his shoulders were heaving up and down from crying. Pretty soon, he was into a crying fit that lasted for about 15 minutes! I felt bad. Feeling ko the kid was traumatized by the scene. He couldn't forget about it for the rest of the day. But it turned out he just had a heart for animals.

Months passed and I thought he had all forgotten about it until he requested to watch the movie again today. So here he is beside me now in tears again but trying so very hard to hide it. hahaha! Binata na, he's trying to deny that he is crying. I was asking him what's wrong the first time I heard him sniffle, he said, "wala ninang, tulo lang laway" (Nothing. My saliva just dripped). At the same scene where he bawled his eyes out the first time, I knew he was crying again as he was sniffling like crazy, I asked him again what's wrong, he wouldn't look at me and just said, "Wala Ninang, sisipon lang ako" (Nothing, I just have colds). Hahahaha! Sorry, I just can't help but be aliw with this kid. He's starting to become embarrassed na from crying.

Nakakatuwa lang talaga sya. He has such a big heart for animals talaga! Kahit daga (rat), when he sees it trapped, he cries like hell kasi "wawa" (pitiful) daw. If it's true that kids usually get the traits of their Godparents, then he must have gotten that from me. I really cry even for those little kittens left out on the street, but not naman for rats hahaha!

What's Up?

I am on a roll! I was out last weekend spending time with my parents that I wasn't able to take on assignments for my paid blogging sideline. So now, I am thankful that I still have tons of assignments to take. It's just that sometimes, I find it really hard to think of things to write, specially since I am more of a homebody - a homebody who would love to travel someday.

I also need to squeeze in taking opps at this time because later, I am off to work. Another Monday so that spells B-U-S-Y for me. Also, missing the husband is affecting my mood. He was on leave from work the whole week last week and is now on his first day at his new job. I miss his presence here beside me. Darn!

NBI Clearance Day

Just got back from Manila. I accompanied the husband in getting his NBI clearance. Haay. Good thing we got there early the lines weren't too long (pero long pa din hmp!) yet. Unlike the time I got mine, oh my goodness talaga! The lines were like one big snake and you don't even know if your getting on the right line. The inefficiency talaga of government offices. I could go on and on but never mind na lang. I just tell myself, maybe I just don't know their hardship or what their job really entails so quiet nalang ako :)

What really struck me a while ago were people who brought their children there. Sige, let's say nalang they didn't have someone to leave their children to. But there was this one lady who had her 1 year old daughter ata with her. My goodness talaga. The child was all over the place it was scary! If you've been to the NBI office in Carriedo, you would know what I am talking about. First, the place has a lot - as in A LOT of people - different people you don't know. People who are in a hurry, walking fast, looking at their own documents while walking and not looking at their surroundings. Man! It was easy to loose a child in there. Second, since there are a lot of people, you wouldn't know who has colds or coughs, something a little child can be vulnerable to. Third, there were stairs and escalators in that building where the child can easily fall into. She was like, falling in line and then reading whatever papers she has and she just lets her daughter walk aimlessly around. She just shouts and calls the child's name and doesn't even look up. Buti nalang smart din yung kid and would always know where to look for her mom. Haay! Eto pa, so everyone was in a hurry cause the lines were getting long, while going up the stairs, she lets the child walk pa! Ano ba naman! Can't you just carry her?! Wala kayo sa bahay noh! The child could fall pa and hurt herself or get trampled on by other people kawawa naman. I was sooo close in telling her off. Good thing the husband was with me.

Sorry for the long rant. I just can't imagine or think of a good reason why there are people like her. Haaaay! I feel sorry for the kid tuloy. Anyway, it was a pretty fast process naman. Maybe because I've done it na before and I knew where to go. Promise, if it's your first time there, it will take you too long because you will get confused as to where the next step is.

After NBI, we went to Hidalgo to look at dSLRs. Oh my gosh. I was so naglalaway na to buy the rebel. kaso since we're planning to move out early next year, the dSLR purchase may have to take back seat while we prioritize buying our stuff. Oh well. After Hidalgo, we had lunch in Carvajal, Binondo at QuickSnack, a small Chinese restaurant that has been my favorit for like forever! I've been eating there since I was 5 years old ata! I make it a point to eat there every once in a while. Good and affordable meals!

The husband is still out though. I went home while he went straight to the QC City Hall to get his police clearance. He had me go home to rest kasi I didn't have sleep pa daw (I went straight from my shift kasi). So sweet the husband! Yiheee! lol!

Feeling much better

I am feeling much better now. That sleep did me much good. The only thing is, I slept the whole day and now its time to go back to work - again. Sigh! Oh well, at least it's my last day. I am on leave Friday to cater to some important stuff. Oh my gosh, I feel so lethargic I don't even want to go to work. Come to think of it, I've been feeling like this for weeks. Goodness!

I have...

A monster headache today - call it a migraine, whatever! Work was hectic and I had to deliver a lot of reports today. Is this stress? Could be. Anyway, I am pretty excited about that team building we have on Sunday. I hope this headache doesn't turn itself into a fever as I am feeling a bit feverish. I'll post more later. I'll try to sleep this off.

So Many Thoughts

I have been thinking a lot lately. Thinking of so many things I couldn't even count them by hand. There's the moving out and then the risks we have to face. There's also work and career issues I have to deal with. Sometimes, I feel like I think too much but then I feel like if I don't, I'm not going to have a goal, a plan for the future. Am I crazy? More weight is going to the shift in career. What's been bugging me is that, if I shift careers now or resign from my job, the moving out might not push through due to financial reasons. And I have been dreaming of moving out since like forever! So you see my dillema here? lol! Any suggestions?

Still At Home...

I am still at home. This time I am down with dysmhenorrhea (spelling?). Darn! I hate this. I was literally crying from the abdominal pains a while ago. I was writhing in pain and the husband was just helplessly watching me and holding my hand which I am very very thankful for. Having him beside me was really a blessing!

To make matters worse, I missed out on online opportunities. Dang! I was hoping I could compensate my absence with at least a bit of online earnings but i fell into a deep sleep and missed out. :( To cheer me up, the husband ordered a double cheese burger meal for me from Mc Donalds. Yum! Feeling much better now actually alhough I still feel a bit of pain.

Tomorrow, it's really back to work for me.

Less of the Allergy, More of the Dreaming

Good morning! I am up and about. The allergies have subsided somewhat but there are still traces of some splotches so I decided to stay at home and communicate with the office via AIM.
Now that I am up and about and have no one to talk to, I got to really think of where I want to be in the next couple of years. I realized I didn't want to be in the contact center industry forever! And it may sound like a simple dream or I may sound crazy, but all I ever want to do is be a stay at home wife (or mom in the future if God allows). I know not all the we plan is in accordance with God's plan but I hope he hears my prayer - prayer of thanks for the corporate experience and the salary that went along with it; a prayer request to make me a stay at home wife/mother in the near future, caring for my own family- my husband and kids.

Missing FRIENDS

I was watching The Ellen Degeneres Show a while ago and one of her guests was Courteney Cox-Arquette. I am a huge F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan so seeing her on the show immediately got my attention. She looks so different now and her voice sounds different too! But seeing Courteney (a.k.a Monica Geller) made me miss Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe too! Lol! No hassle though as I immediately popped a season of F.R.I.E.N.D.S after the Ellen show. Can you say addict? LOL!

Speaking of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, I bought Season 2 of JOEY starring no less than Matt Le Blanc. :) The show only has 2 seasons, but man! I had tons of fun watching Joey and his antics! It's a somewhat different Joey Tribbianni though. He has a more serious side now but he still has his suave sex appeal and of course who can miss his "intelligence" *wink*

I wish they'd do a part II of F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Finally, Updates =)

Finally able to update! I am really sorry for being MIA. I'd like to thank all of my guests and visitors who dropped by. I really really appreciate it.

So what happened? Well, every 3 months or so, our agents get to do a shift bid where based on their performance for the past 3 months, they get to bid on the schedule they want. It's a gruesome process for our department as we need to generate schedules that would meet client requirements. We need to make sure that the schedules we give the agents to choose from would align with the requirements or else we fail big time. After the agents pick their schedules, we need to plot them in the software we use and make sure that everything is balanced - meeting client requirements and giving humane break schedules to the agents. Then we need to give transition rest days and the whole crapola. It's actually easier said than done as I handle close to 500 agents.
That said, I got sick the past 2 days - hehehe!

Enough about work, what are the recent updates?

1. I was finally able to buy that 30Gb iPod Video and Nokia 5300 and I am enjoying them immensely. My iPod keeps my stress level to normal and the phone brought me back to communicating with the world. :)

2. The Ilocos trip was cancelled indefinitely - boo! :(

3. And just tonight the husband and me watched The Transformers. I know, I know, pretty late, but we didn't want to watch it the first weekend it was released as the lines were pretty long and the cinemas crowded. No offense meant, we just didn't want to :) But the movie was AWESOME! Definitely worth buying a DVD copy (the original DVD :) )

4. The husband is now joining my weekend walks, yey! Both of us are now trying to lose some weight so wish us luck! :)

That's so far of the updates I can think of right now. Now that I have time to update, I promise to back soon :) Hope all of you are well! Happy weekend!

Dreming of the Past

I dreamt about the past a while ago. It is still fresh in my memory. Contrary to what I read about forgetting your dreams a minute after you wake up. Wierd but I am always like this. I seldom forget what i dream about.

Last night's dream sort of disoriented me. I dreamt about our old house in Project 6. The dream was so vivid! The house was exactly how it was when we lived there, even the furnitures that have long been sold or thrown away was there. It was like the past and the present merged into one. Hubby was there. I was in my present age. Even my family. It would've been a typical dream, had it not been for that someone from my past.

He was there, with me and hubby. In the living room. The scene changes and hubby and I were talking at the front door, hubby was telling me: "Hon, he wants to talk to you. I think he wants to apologize and tell you he wants you back." I was dumbfounded. True enough, a few seconds after, he peeked in the door and said he was about to leave and asked if he could talk to me for a couple of minutes. Hubby nodded and I obliged.

He indeed apologized for what he did to me way back. He said he was really sorry and that he still loved me and wanted me back. I was about to tell him no, that I am happily married when my mom called me and asked me to give something before that guy left. And that was when I woke up. Jolted awake by hubby's embrace.

Why am I even dreaming about this guy? Someone from a long long time ago. I was not even thinking about him for ages! I know it may not mean anything, the dream just got me a bit suprised when I woke up. Sigh. If we could only decipher what our dreams mean.

Catching Fire!

Oooh! Another movie for me to watch out for! Catching Fire will come to theaters November 22, 2013!  Here's a sneak peek of the releas...
