Change

Change is never easy. It means letting go of what you're used to and unlearning the wrong things you've learned since childhood. It's about taking risks and walking the unknown path. Learning and unlearning along the way.

I know what we plan to do is all about change. Change of lifestyle and atmosphere. It is not easy I know, but this is something we have to do to grow. Things aren't going too well here and I've tried and done my best to adapt but I guess everything (or everyone for that matter) has its limits and I have reached mine. If you know me, you probably know that I don't usually give up easily. You know as well, that I think things through before making a big decision such as this one. But I have made up my mind and we both agreed moving out is the best.

If we want to start a family of our own. If we want to have financial freedom, then moving out is the best thing we would do. You don't know how long I have prayed for this. How much I cried out to God to open your eyes to the truth. God has His plans and His time and I've always believed He knows what is best. I am thankful that you have finally opened your heart and eyes to what's happening.

I am scared of what lies ahead but I am willing to take the risk, willing to jump, willing to learn and take the journey as long as I know I have God and you beside me, I will be fine. I am fearfully excited. I hope you are too.

Cooking

It's been a boring weekend so far hehe. I just did some wifely things like laundry and ironing. The only exciting part of the day was me cooking caldereta, heh! It was a miracle my husband loved it. :)

Here's a proof:

i have never been good in the kitchen. I guess it will take some time for me to learn, but this will be great practice for when we move out. Can't Wait!

Online Casino Anyone?

I recently visited an online Casino site. It's called Party Casino. I know, I know, you're probably thinking what a person like me is doing looking into online Casino sites. Curiosity, I guess. But don't worry because I did not bet on anything. I sort of just browsed through the site. Anyway, Party Casino has a list of 47 games, none of which I know how to play. They also boast of 24 hour help or customer service. It's interesting to note too that they have this link and article about responsible gaming and knowing your limits. Plus they have this weekly limit on your account. I guess that's good so that people will not splurge on online bets like this and lose all they have.

Honestly, I have never set foot in a casino before and I guess I never will be interested in playing any casino games. But for a second there, while browsing through the games on Party Casino, I was curious about how the games are played. But then again, I don't like losing my hard earned money in betting. I know that when you win, you win big but hey, how often do you really win compared to how often you lose right? I prefer earning my money. Oh well different strokes for different folks! I guess I'm not a risk taker after all heh!

Presto! Instant Pesto!

Okay, I know I haven't posted stuff from the holidays yet. I promise this weekend, I'll make kuento about how we spent the holidays. For now, I just had to post this.

I arrived home from work at 11:30 PM, hungry as a hippo. I suddenly remembered I bought a Mc Cormick Pesto sauce mix the other day. I so love Pesto dishes, but I'm too lazy to go to Rustan's and buy the ingredients and too lazy to cook hehehe!

Anyway, I decided to cook just a small amount of pasta just in case the sauce mix wasn' t that good. Oh boy, was I in for a suprise. The mix was good! In fact it didn't taste like powdered mix at all! It had real Pesto in it! I had an easy time cooking the sauce. I just mixed the powder with 1/4 cup of water and 6 tbsp of oil and presto! Instant pesto sauce! As an added twist, I added 1 cup of Nestle cream to get a creamy pesto pasta! This definitely goes into my grocery list. Oh, and it's affordable too, at less than Php20, the sauce can serve 4 to 5 people.

So Mc Cormick, thank you for making pesto dishes easy and accessible for me! :)

Journaling: I have always loved pesto pasta! I just couldn't find the time to buy indredients and was always too lazy to cook. I always end up having to shell out big bucks in restos just to eat pesto dishes. Good thing I discovered Mc Cormick's Pesto Perfect Pasta! It's so easy to cook! You just mix it with 1/4 cup of water and 6 tbsp of oil and voila! Instant Pesto! As an added twist, I added 1 cup of Nestle cream to make a creamy pesto pasta. It has real pesto so bits so it's really good. Affordable too at less than 20 bucks per pack. 1 pack can serve around 4 to 5 persons. Yummy!
