The First Leg of Run United 2011 is Here!

To all you running enthusiasts, here's a treat!  The RunRio team just announced details on the first leg of Run United 2011!  I am excited as this will officially be my first 5K Run - one of my running goals for 2011!  The husbo will run pace with me so he will just be running 5K  also - awww SWEET! Here are the details of this event:

Post it on your Friends only YapRoom.  Simple, private and fun!  Even conversations are presented in thread making it easy to follow them.  Responding to posts and photos can also be done via email, just in case you are unable to access the site.  And unlike email, everything is located in one secure place, no need for many folders - saves you time.

I also love how the website has a demo feature so you can try out the service before you actually sign up.  This way you can get comfortable in using the site first and see if it fits your needs.  I tried it and to tell you honestly, you don't need to use the demo.  The site is pretty easy to navigate and the interface is cool and elegant!  This makes YapTime easy to use even for our parents and grandparents !

I'm taking a short break from watching my favorite TV series because I am hungry and I don't want to continue watching without my food.  Currently, my taste buds are craving for Pizza and I just finished ordering a box for delivery.  I wish it would arrive soon, my mouth is already drooling from the images in my mind.

MRT AND LRT FARE HIKE LOOMS FOR POOR JUAN

With several hikes announced late last year and early 2011, from the price increase of the basic bread, taxi fares to the increase in SLEX Toll Gate fees,  it seems poor Juan has not seen the end of it – yet.  Today it was announced that a P10 hike in MRT and LRT fare is looming.  This is not yet official.  A hearing is still in the works.

According to the DOTC, they needed to set a price so they could discuss it during the hearing, but several groups are already prepared to protest.

However, during a board meeting, both the LRT and MRT administrations have decided on an P11 basic rate with a P1 increase per kilometer.  Currently, the MRT’s higest rate is at P15 while the LRT charges P20.  With the price increase, MRT will be charging P28 while the LRT will charge P31.

Tsk! Tsk! Poor Juan has been bombarded with left and right increase in basic commodities with no salary hike. Will his meager salary be enough to sustain his family? 

A SAFE AND EFFECTIVE WAY TO TREAT RASHES

Mackenzie Foy is Renesmee "Nessie" Cullen

It’s 2011 and one of the things I am looking forward to is the first part of Breaking Dawn the movie.  I loved the books and I am particularly excited for this movie!  Breaking Dawn is the last book in the saga and they have decided to do the movie in two parts.

In Breaking Dawn, Bella and Edward get married and go to a romantic honeymoon in Isle Esme.  Bella, still human, gets pregnant and gives birth to a daughter – Renesmee – named after Renee, Bella’s mother and Esme, Edward’s mother.  She’s half vampire, half human that grows at an alarming rate.  This causes uproar with both the wolves and the Volturi and Edward and Bella do all they can to save their daughter.

Of particular interest to me was, who will be cast as Renesmee in this movie?  Summit Entertainment announced Mackenzie Foy got the role and I couldn’t agree more. She looks adorable enough to have you tied around her little pinkie! I can totally picture her as Renesmee! What do you think?

I am also excited to see the other casts like Irina, Tanya, Eleazar, and Garrett!  Here’s a teaser for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I.  The movie will be directed by Bill Condon based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer.  Screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg. A Summit Entertainment, Inc. Movie.  The movie is slated to be shown Nov 18, 2011 in the US.
