Silver

I know gold is very popular but lately silver has been gaining ground. Most of us don't know this but silver is available in coin or ingot form. What are ingots you say? They are generally silver ingots made of pure bullion made into convenient size and shapes. And would you believe that world demand for silver now exceeds production? Yes stockpiles of are shrinking that is why now is the best time to invest in them. So if you're interested, Monex Deposit Company (MDC) offers gold and other precious materials for immediate personal delivery or convenient and safe storage at independent banks.

The List

I love this shot. I was sitting on the stairs a couple of days ago and saw 2 ordinary boxes stacked one on top of the other. I thought less of it until I saw what was written on the side of the top box. A distribution list. This box previously held some stuff sent over from Ilocos and I found it funny to see that list.

Holiday Updates

How's your holiday so far? Aside from the horrendous traffic and people-filled malls, things have been great so far. It helps that I am on leave for 1 whole week. Gives me time to relax and really think about what I want to do for 2008. The past year has been good, personal and career-wise. I couldn't wait for the blessings my Father in heaven has in store for me for 2008. Hope you enjoy the remaining days of 2007 and I am praying for more blessings for 2008!

Home Stuff

Photos for the day. Promised myself I would practice everyday. Since I couldn't go out that much due to work, the Rebel and I toured the house to capture what we can. It's amazing how photography can give a new perspective on everyday things. Made us see the house in a new light. :) Hope you like them. I'm sharing 2 of my favorites. A couple more pictures here.

Reminder

I know I am starting the "picture-a-day" late but I think this is the perfect time. This picture holds several meanings to me. First, today, being our 3rd wedding anniversary, this picture reminded me of the importance of prayer in our marriage and how talking to God individually and as a couple sheds light our way. Second, this picture reminds me that in time, if we wait patiently and pray fervently, our little angel will come. Third, but certainly not the least, this snapshot reminded me of what Christmas is all about - a day of prayer to say Thanks to a God who gave us a savior.

SiTEL Casino Royale Party

Here are some shots from the Christmas party. Apologies for the shots as I am still trying to learn how to use the Rebel plus the low light made it harder for me as that is my waterloo (among others. Excuses! hahaha!). But I believe practice makes perfect so I'll be practicing more in the coming days.

Back from the Party

Hi all! I just got back from our company Christmas party. SiTEL outdid themselves this year with a lavish celebration! It was held at the SMX Convention Center and we filled halls 1-4 of the 2nd floor. Theme was Casino Royale and there were slot machines and casino games inside. The SMX convention center was HUGE! Party was fun but I didn't get to win the grand prize, an Isuzu Alto. Sayang. hehehe! I'd share some pictures but the Rebel's battery got drained. I had to use the flash a couple of times because it was kinda dark inside. If I am not done with browsing the net for the Rebel's accesories and the battery gets full, I'll upload them and share them with you. Toodles!

Chrome Door Handles

The husband had this idea that he wanted chrome door handles for the car he is planning to buy. I think it's a great idea too but I said it would be expensive. He said it's not really and he has already found a store that offers wonderful chrome handles at great deals! He also said that the handles they make are of durable ABS to last years and years. They are also triple-chrome plated and is custom fit to match the vehicle. I asked him installing would be additional cost but he said it's easy to install and no drilling is required so he can do it himself. He said he would buy it from BuyAutoTruckAccessories.com which carries these state-of-the-art chrome handles. He is pretty excited and has me convinced.

Amia

I finally got a snapshot of her. She was always hard to photograph because she's malikot hehehe! Everytime she sees my camera, she would flash her toothless grin and just when I am about to take her picture she'd turn away. But I finally caught her yesterday. This is our niece, Amia. She is such a cutie no?

Fashion Dilemma

I have always had a hard time with Fashion. You see I am not the type who's really into fashion and clothes. I am more of a gadget person. I always have a hard time looking for clothes to buy, which to buy and I don't buy that often. I could wear my clothes until they're ripped and old hahaha! But there's a part of me that reallly wants to try to be more kikay, more lady like. I wonder how I'd do it. is this inborn or something one can learn? I don't even have anything to wear for our Christmas party tonight, aack!

Orlando Fun!

Everytime I look at my mom's album, I feel envious that she has been to Seaworld already. That's one of my dreams you know. Anyway, the big dreamer that I am, I scoured the worldwideweb for Seaworld Tickets. I found orlandofuntickets.com, the ultimate source for great deals on Disney world and Orlando Tickets and other attractions. As you know, Florida has a lot of attrations that it's sometimes hard to choose but with orladofuntickets.com, it's easy as 1-2-3! Wouldn't it be nice to visit Islands of Adventure, Downtown Disney Pleasure and Disneyquest? So for lowest prices and the best personal service do visit orlandofuntickets.com!

Wedding Flowers

Since we're into my cousin's wedding, let me share another story. My, my, my, I guess I am missing preparing for our wedding. Well, our 3rd anniversary's coming up so maybe that's the culprit. lol! Anyway, they really gota great deal of savings when they decided to buy wholesale flowers and do the wedding flowers themselves. My cousin's friends are creative so they are helping out. They got them from FiftyFlowers. This company provides your floral needs for any event, wedding, baptism, birthday, name it they've got it! The flowers are delivered at a below wholesale cost so you really save much! Especially for wedding events where a lot of prices have shot up already, most brides-to be prefer to do their flowers instead. Imagine at almost 75% discount! The flowers, just so you know, are shipped overnight (express!) from the flower farms and if you want to ask about shipping costs, it is already included in the wholesale prices! Where were they during our wedding 3 years ago?!?! lol!

Nothing in Particular

I wasn't able to join the bridal shower due to several unavoidable circumstances. Boo! But, I got to ogle over the 6 Million Dollar Home Crumpler Bag. I can't buy it just yet. I promised myself after the huge dip on the pocket from buying the Rebel, I am going to give myself (and my pocket) some time to recover. Photography IS an EXPENSIVE hobby but I love it to bits. My manager was even telling me the other day that I am actually working not for a living but for photography lol! I am slowly getting the hang of the rebel though.

It's the Weekend!

Hello from somewhere in Eastwood City. I am in the office. Work is piled up and I am taking a quick break from it all. I can't wait for the weekend to start as it spells B.U.S.Y. lol! I'm going to Shangri-La today to buy a gift for a cousin who's getting married on the 29th. Then, I am heading off to Rockwell for her bridal shower. After the bridal shower, we go to their place to make chika and eat our hearts out. A chance to practice the Rebel which I can't really do during weekdays. Sunday morning is time for rest, process some photos then proceed to our company Christmas party in the evening. I am expecting a long evening as my manager is planning a drinking party after. Can you say hectic? :)

The Best of Las Vegas

My cousin's fiance suprised her with a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas! This was one detail they haven't finalized yet. Little did she know he had plans in mind. Needless to say, it was a pleasant surprise filled with happy tears. Curious, I asked where he booked their package particularly the hotel. With the many fantastic Las Vegas Hotels, it could be hard to make a decision. Well true enough, he had a very hard time choosing but he said he just thought of what he wanted and he wanted the best for his future-bride. He chose bestofvegas.com not only because they have the best prices but because they offer more than that, they only offer the best. From the internationally renowned Cirque du Soleil to the best local flavor of Las Vegas entertainment all with the best deals. Well, he was right, his bride-to-be was elated and I really hope they have the best time there!

Rejected? WTF?

I got a reply from Bloomfield Hotel in Baguio. I was trying to reserve a room for the 27th and the 28th by using their online form. I was a bit ticked off at their reply: "We are sorry to inform you that your reservation has been rejected." then it goes on to list the details of my reservation and a tiny remark saying they didn't have my preferred room available on the dates selected. It made me feel like I was aplying for a credit card instead of trying to be a guest in a small hotel. I mean, how hard would it have been to say:"We are sorry but we do not have your preferred room available on the dates you selected." as an automated message instead of the "rejected" thing and then go on to remark "However we do have _____ available."
I worked as a travel agent before, and I have never seen automated messages like these from the top hotels in Europe or the US or anywhere for that matter. Sorry inis lang ako.

Zombie

I am so sleepy, I've been up since 6pm last night. A colleague celebrated her birthday with early morning drinks at metrowalk. i still have tons to do but I better get some shut eye and continue this later. But let me make a list lest I forget:
  • Finish online assigments
  • Post some pictures of my nephew and niece
  • Edit some pics from the Rebel
  • Read the Rebel's manual

In the meantime, off I go to dreamland.

A Fabulous Wedding Made Easy

I just heard from the husband's cousin who is getting married next week. She invited me over to her bridal shower and we got to talk about weddings. Her wedding is near but she still asked me about Wedding Ideas. It's crunch time after all and I know for a fact that it is during this time that you get all fussed up about the things you haven't done yet. So I turned her over to my fave site, WeddingChannel.com. That site was really a life saver for me during our wedding with their free interactive tools and inspirational photos, which is where I got my gown design, by the way, you will never go wrong! Planning your wedding becomes as easy as a click of a mouse with WeddingChannel.com!

Learning Something New

They weren't kidding when they say, learning is a lifelong process and you get to learn something new everyday. And I realized I learned something new when I started working for this account - working while listening to music from my iPod. Hee!
I used to hate any noise when I studied or work. It makes me lose my focus. I couldn't concentrate. Not even classical music! All I want is peace and quiet, That is my learning style. But eversince I started working with this account, (where I am situated on the operations floor, with just a slim divider that separates our department from the agents) I could now work with my iPod blasting in my ears. I can even sing along while working and miracle of mircales, could focus and produce better results! I am even cranky when I don't have my iPod with me! lol! This is one cool thing to learn! hehehe!

PayDay Loans

I remember when I started working a couple of years ago, I was so excited to be earning my own money and how I was eligible already to take out Personal Loans. I went crazy and bought myself a lot of stuff and took out a Loan to buy my very first computer. Pretty soon, I was neck deep in credit card bills and couldn't pay off anything. Simply put, I lived beyond my means. I was so frustrated and in trouble for quite some time. It was a good thing, our company helped me take a Pay Day Loan to finish off a debt. Well, if you're one of those people who are financially stable enough and are looking for some great loan packages, then I suggest you try out BestLeading Lenders.com. They have a wide variety of loan solutions to help you out. It's quick, it's simple and they can give you low interests.

The Rebel's Here!

Sorry for posting a bit late. I had quite a day yesterday and was dead tired when we got home around 9pm. So anyway, it's finally here! The Rebel's here! hahaha! Sorry I am just excited. Here's a snapshot of it:

I got my Rebel at Avenue Photo Equipment Inc. in Hidalgo. It was the store with the best deal and so far the only store there that offered the Canon Essentials of Photography promo. I had a tough time making the decision between the Rebel and the Nikon D40x. I even had both cameras side by side but I still couldn't decide. It's a good thing the husband was with me. He convinced me to buy the rebel and he'll just get the Nikon D40x when he sells the S3. lol! We are a wierd couple!

I got a pretty good deal, their prices were lower compared to the other stores and I got the EOS 400D kit, a free camera bag and free 1 Gb CF memory card. Plus, since they offered the Canon promo, I get to have a free photography workshop! Oh and I also bought a 4Gb CF memory card.

A frightening thing happened though because of my stupidity. After we bought the rebel, we placed the camera inside the husband's backpack. The memory cards we placed inside the free camera bag which was placed inside the store's plastic bag. So we went to Ministop to get something to drink. I placed the plastic bag beneath the table. So off we went, and when we were almost at the quiapo church, I suddenly remembered I didn't have the plastic bag with me! OMG! I literally ran towards ministop pushing people past. Good thing it was still there. whew! Well, you should know I got an earful from the husband. My excuse, I was tired since I came from work and went straight to Hidalgo. lol!

So, I am happy I bought the rebel. I am still familiarizing myself with the controls and still reading the manual but of course, being excited that I am, I couldn't stop myself from trying it out. So, I am leaving you with 2 of my favorite shots. Have a great day!

More pics here. Please pardon the shots. Still trying to figure out the rebel. :P

LA Criminal Defense Blog

I recently visited a blog about Criminal Law and I find it really informative. Having a lot of relatives living in California, I found it important to read about criminal defense laws in that state. I sent a YM to my aunts and uncles over there to check out this Los Angeles Criminal Defense Blog | California Criminal Attorneys Law Blog that I found. It would bode well for them to at least have knowledge on the various cases that is discussed in this blog.

The blog author, Dmitry Gorin is a professor at the UCLA and Pepperdine School. He is a lawyer and frequently provides commentary on Court TV. Check out the blog, he has various topics from domestic violence to white collar crime. And you know what else? he also does analysis of celebrity prosecution.

The Rebel Isn't Even Here...

..and yet I got 2 SMS asking for a photoshoot! lol! Feeling naman ako! A friend from long ago saw my flickr and multiply accounts and asked for a photoshoot. For what hindi pa nya sinasabi. Then, S, my colleague who is getting married in February is asking me to shoot their wedding. Whoa! Wait lang! Pressure! I told her I don't have the capacity pa to shoot a wedding and gave her referals but she adamantly wants me to be the one. Haller! Simple wedding lang naman daw no fanfare but still, diba? Yikes. So, I have about 2 months to learn the basics and then do my best to capture moments of her big day. Again, PRESSURE!

Like a Child Waiting for Christmas and The Exchange

Isang tulog nalang! I feel like a child again, waiting for Christmas to open presents under the tree! I know overrated na ang excitement ko but please allow me to be crazy kasi I waited for a year. hehehe. Ang hirap nga lang, my colleague is convincing me to buy the Nikon D40x. Ngayon tuloy torn ako on what to buy. Bahala na, I'll just check it out tomorrow sa store.

And can I just rant about the dollar exchange? P41.88 to $1?!?! What the? Nakakinis. Buti sana if the prices of the basic commodities go down when the peso to dollar exchange gets stronger e kaso hindeee! The prices go up pa, even skyrockets! Tsk! tsk!

And in connection with that, I turned down worth $15 of opportunities kanina. I don't know. It went against my belief eh and I don't like writing something like that just for the heck of getting money. I know I sound plastic pero honest to goodness, if it's super against what i believe in then even if I am offered a million dollars I wouldn't.

Better Care

Sometimes life is pretty hectic and environment is very fast paced that other people would often look to care homes to help take care of their loved ones. Now, there is a site that is dedicated to serve anyone who needs to ask questions about care, either for themselves or for their loved ones. They can give you the proper resources that can help you in the choices you make. From financials, to home or residential care, name it, they have it for you. On their site, they have a health matters section where archived information about health issues are found. Check out their site and see the various services they could offer.

    The Rebel is Closer

I just received great news today. The company is giving us our bonus earlier than scheduled so I might be able ot get the Rebel by this weekend. Eeeek! More excitement!

On the office front, I was able to meet with my manager and I'm glad we had a talk. I was inspired and humbled at the least and committed to making sure I give more than my 110%. Besides, I realized I needed the moolah to fund the travels I am planning with the Rebel. (I am now hearing my husband asking why he isn't inlcuded hehehe)

    Habla Espanol?

My spanish is not really good and back when I was an online travel agent, I get a lot of Spanish customers. They speak English well, it's just that, they're more comfortable using their native tongue. Well, who isn't right? Anyway, now there is a new way to book their travel accommodations, or should I say, Hoteles. Hotels.com, the leader in booking hotels online and on the phone now has a dedicated customer service that caters to specifically to the needs and interests of Spanish-speaking individuals in the US. Now, it would be easier to search for the right accommodations with their comprehensive hotels.com en espanol.

6 Days and the Rebel's Here

6 More days. Oh the agony of waiting! lol! The cash that I need to buy the Rebel doesn't get here until the 10th cause that's the day our company chose to release the bonus. Antagal! Hahaha!. I am praying it arrives at least past 11AM so I can get my hiney over to Hidalgo and finally get My Rebel. Addict! As my friend Joyce would say: "Beh, isa ka nang addict!" lol!

I am still 80% bent on leaving the company and stay at home. I don't like it there anymore. Parang the change wasn't good for me. I was happier when I was an analyst. Happy with what i was doing and loved what I was doing. Even loved the account I was handling, stress and all. Honest, you would see me rendering almost 2 shifts straight or come in to the office on a weekend without pay and not a single complaint was heard from me. My supervisor could attest to that. But now, life took a turn. I am handling a new account and I am not happy. I can't pinpoint exactly why. I mean, I could handle the load of tasks and the stress, but somehow, I feel like this isn't my place. Sigh.

Another things is I feel like I want to rest, stay at home, be a housewife and all. The only thing stopping me is the health benefit I get. Sayang kasi. Hmm..Decisions. Decisions.

    21 More Days!

It's December! 21 days til Christmas! How has your Christmas shopping been? I've done a couple of them and I was so tired after. The multitude of people, the haggling. But it's fun though. For the other gifts I haven't bought yet, I am thinking of getting them online. I have some promo codes I could use.

I am thinking of getting my mom a digital frame. She would really love this as this could save her some space and guests would be able to look at one frame only. saves time! For my dad, hmm, my siblings and I are planning on getting him an HDTVso he could watch his favorite operas on DVD and feel like he's watching them live! lol! I still have a couple on my list and I am not yet done deciding what to give them. It's pretty hard but I guess that's where the fun is.

    Lethargy

I've been feeling lethargic lately. I honestly don't know why. All I want to do is lie down and sleep and watch tv. Sigh. I did some Shaun T.'s the other day lest I gain more weight. I don't know if it has anything to do with my stress level at work or it's just plain "katamaran". There are a lot of things for me to do so it's definitely not boredom. Have you ever felt that way? Not wanting to do anything? Not even think? I'm so pathetic.

    I Want My LCD!

You know the first thing I want for the house we will be moving in to? A samsung 32 inch LCD! And you know how it is these days with the internet it is really easy to find things but you know what, sometimes it is better to buy in a physical store rather than online, specially for things such as television. You would need to check on it and make sure it's ok. There's Krillion.com, it helps you find the exact product they want at at the retailers nearest them. They have comprehensive product, pricing and location information to help you out.

    Circle

Man my feet are killing me. The husband and I went to the Quezon City Memorial Circle to do some brisk walking. It was fun and we had a lot of chit chats while walking. After that we had breakfast at the flea market right across the street. Ha, so much for losing weight!

    Disconnected

Hello. I was away for quite some time. I promise to make bawi with my bloghopping and will visit your blogs soon.

Well, thanks to the amazing SmartBro, we did not have any internet connection from Tuesday afternoon 'til Friday. It went up when I was about to go to work so didn't have time to blog anymore. I am giving them another chance. If their connection does not improve, I am moving to their competitor. I've heard great reviews so let's see.

What really got me pissed off, is that prior to SmartBro's base station going haywire, our linksys router was doing great. When the connection went up, our wireless router could not detect SmartBro's connection, we had to plug the cable directly to our laptops if we want to have connection. Sheesh. When I called their customer service, I was told they could not assist me with the router since their connection is up and running. Well thank you SmartBro for not helping after days of not having internet access!!!

Oh and if you're wondering where the links to your blog are, I moved them to another page to free up some space on my sidebar. :) I hope y'all don't mind. You can just click on the "links" tab on the top of this page.

    Catching Fire!

Oooh! Another movie for me to watch out for! Catching Fire will come to theaters November 22, 2013!  Here's a sneak peek of the releas...
