Another Practice Shoot

I was able to practice some portrait shots last Sunday. I think they turned out ok. Let me know if otherwise alright?

Anyway, these are my colleagues, well most of the pictures are of Zarah. She loves to pose! So I took the opportunity to do a mini shoot (feeling!). I am still having difficulties in shooting with backgrounds that could be really distracting, so most of my shots are close-ups. Let me know what you think, okay?

This shot below is my favorite :) :

Random Blurbs about the Weekend

Whoa! This blog now has a PR of 1!!!! My other blog now has a PR 2! Woot! Woot! Finally, I have a pagerank lol! I hope Google is done with their updates. You see sometimes, ranks fluctauate when Google updates so I hope this is final.
The weekend was a blast. Saturday was time with the husband and Sunday, I was out with the WFM Team for our team building. It was a wonderful chance to practice with my beloved S3 IS. I will post pictures soon, promise! I am just doing some post processing (hahaha! As if I really know how to do this. But it never hurts to practice, right?).
Our broadband internet connection is acting up though. It's been like this for a couple of days now. I haven't really called their hotline yet because this is the first time this happened. I figured, maybe they're doing some updates or something. The husband though is frustrated. He couldn't download properly. I, on the other hand, kept being booted out from AIM when I am coordinating with the office, but whatever! If this is not fixed soon, the husband is threatening to move to another broadband service.

I Love You Sabado!

I love you Sabado! (I love you Saturday!)

Today, the husband and I are trooping to a nearby cafe and just talk and chat. Then it's off to the grocery after. I just love days like these where we can just relax and talk each others heads off lol! So, I'll be out for the rest of the day. Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Moving Out Stuff - We need a dishwasher!

In previously posted, the husband and I are moving out by early next year (can you tell my excitement?) so the husband and I went window shopping a while ago before we went for lunch. We canvassed for stuff that we would need for the new house. We still need a lot of appliances and household stuff because we decided to leave some of our stuff here. His parents would need them. We would need a new refrigerator, a sofa set, iron and ironing board and lots lots more. We just felt like we needed to look at current prices and as early as now get ready financially, not only for the rent but for the stuff that we'd need. And how could I forget, we would need dishwashers! My mom suggested we get one of those Frigidaire Dishwashers as she said it was really worth the money. (Well, we didn't have one but that was one of her dreams). My paternal grandmother has one and that's where she got the idea. She said it is still working to this day so it must be really good! I scouted the web and saw one that i really like already, if you play The Sims, you would know what I am talking about. You know those dishwashers they have? That's the type. It's built in to your kitchen sinks. Ooh I am excited!

NBI Clearance Day

Just got back from Manila. I accompanied the husband in getting his NBI clearance. Haay. Good thing we got there early the lines weren't too long (pero long pa din hmp!) yet. Unlike the time I got mine, oh my goodness talaga! The lines were like one big snake and you don't even know if your getting on the right line. The inefficiency talaga of government offices. I could go on and on but never mind na lang. I just tell myself, maybe I just don't know their hardship or what their job really entails so quiet nalang ako :)

What really struck me a while ago were people who brought their children there. Sige, let's say nalang they didn't have someone to leave their children to. But there was this one lady who had her 1 year old daughter ata with her. My goodness talaga. The child was all over the place it was scary! If you've been to the NBI office in Carriedo, you would know what I am talking about. First, the place has a lot - as in A LOT of people - different people you don't know. People who are in a hurry, walking fast, looking at their own documents while walking and not looking at their surroundings. Man! It was easy to loose a child in there. Second, since there are a lot of people, you wouldn't know who has colds or coughs, something a little child can be vulnerable to. Third, there were stairs and escalators in that building where the child can easily fall into. She was like, falling in line and then reading whatever papers she has and she just lets her daughter walk aimlessly around. She just shouts and calls the child's name and doesn't even look up. Buti nalang smart din yung kid and would always know where to look for her mom. Haay! Eto pa, so everyone was in a hurry cause the lines were getting long, while going up the stairs, she lets the child walk pa! Ano ba naman! Can't you just carry her?! Wala kayo sa bahay noh! The child could fall pa and hurt herself or get trampled on by other people kawawa naman. I was sooo close in telling her off. Good thing the husband was with me.

Sorry for the long rant. I just can't imagine or think of a good reason why there are people like her. Haaaay! I feel sorry for the kid tuloy. Anyway, it was a pretty fast process naman. Maybe because I've done it na before and I knew where to go. Promise, if it's your first time there, it will take you too long because you will get confused as to where the next step is.

After NBI, we went to Hidalgo to look at dSLRs. Oh my gosh. I was so naglalaway na to buy the rebel. kaso since we're planning to move out early next year, the dSLR purchase may have to take back seat while we prioritize buying our stuff. Oh well. After Hidalgo, we had lunch in Carvajal, Binondo at QuickSnack, a small Chinese restaurant that has been my favorit for like forever! I've been eating there since I was 5 years old ata! I make it a point to eat there every once in a while. Good and affordable meals!

The husband is still out though. I went home while he went straight to the QC City Hall to get his police clearance. He had me go home to rest kasi I didn't have sleep pa daw (I went straight from my shift kasi). So sweet the husband! Yiheee! lol!

Feeling much better

I am feeling much better now. That sleep did me much good. The only thing is, I slept the whole day and now its time to go back to work - again. Sigh! Oh well, at least it's my last day. I am on leave Friday to cater to some important stuff. Oh my gosh, I feel so lethargic I don't even want to go to work. Come to think of it, I've been feeling like this for weeks. Goodness!

First Time Mortgage

I know there are a lot of newlyweds out there or probably those that are still in the wedding planning stages, then they may also be thinking about buying their own homes. If you could buy one then I envy you as we can't afford to buy one yet! lol! So if you're like us, what could you possibly do? Well we can try to consider getting a mortgage. But it is important that you know what you are getting into. Okay, there is a new site that could give you tips about First Time Buyer Mortgage. Not only that they can give you free quotes at no obligation! Hmm..I think this is one great idea, the husband bettter see this.

I have...

A monster headache today - call it a migraine, whatever! Work was hectic and I had to deliver a lot of reports today. Is this stress? Could be. Anyway, I am pretty excited about that team building we have on Sunday. I hope this headache doesn't turn itself into a fever as I am feeling a bit feverish. I'll post more later. I'll try to sleep this off.

Theme Parks UK

I have a secret to tell you. The husband hasn't been to a theme park! Ssshh!

Poor thing. I was planning to take him to a local theme park but since the cousin is leaving for the UK next year and there is a chance we could visit, I am planning to just wait it out and take him to Theme Parks UK. Have you seen their largest theme park - Pleasure Beach Pool? Not yet? I suggest you head over to their site and check it out! The site is very user friendly and very very convenient - imagine you can even plan your trip online! Amazing!

They have a wide variety of rides and shows that would boggle your mind! I am particularly interested in rifing the Infusion, a suspended looping coaster that would take you to amazing heights! I am sure the husband would rather wait for me while I finish this ride. He is not the type who enjoys these things - maybe that is why he hasn't been to a theme park yet lol! Well, he's definitely going to miss out if he doesn't join me.

So Many Thoughts

I have been thinking a lot lately. Thinking of so many things I couldn't even count them by hand. There's the moving out and then the risks we have to face. There's also work and career issues I have to deal with. Sometimes, I feel like I think too much but then I feel like if I don't, I'm not going to have a goal, a plan for the future. Am I crazy? More weight is going to the shift in career. What's been bugging me is that, if I shift careers now or resign from my job, the moving out might not push through due to financial reasons. And I have been dreaming of moving out since like forever! So you see my dillema here? lol! Any suggestions?

Home Loans

As 2007 draws to a close, my cousin is getting more and more excited! She and her fiance are set to get married June of 2008, after which they will reside in London, UK. Her fiance is currently there finsihing his masters degree at the London Business School.

As with all weddings, the financial part is always stressful. I am not saying they couldn't afford it, it's just that sometimes we need help you know. They actually asked me for help about getting UK Home Loans. I led them to Magicloans UK which has a lot to offer! Their schemes are really easy on the pocket and their interests are not sky high like the others.

It's Cold!

It's been freezing cold here since yesterday! okay, so maybe that was an exaggerated version, but it is really cold! It's one of those things that tell you that Christmas is only a few weeks away. :)

I don't know, I love cold weather than hot and humid. When the weather is cold, you save up on electricty because you tend not to use the aircon, or even the fan and your refrigerator doesn't work too hard since it's cold. When it's cold, it is much much easier for me to sleep and get some rest but harder for me to get out of the bed. lol!

What about you? Which weather do you like better? Cold or hot and humid?

French Beds

Since the husband is now moving to a better job, he decided last Sunday we would move to our own place early next year! Woot! I just hope the decision sticks. lol! So now, I am beyond excited about our own place and my head is filled with a lot of ideas.

One of the things I would love to have in our bedroom is a very romantic theme (our wedding theme was romance) and what better way to get ideas from than France! I really want those French Beds from French Beds UK. All their designs have this romantic feel to it.

The beds are available at Time4Sleep and they have a wide variety of French beds for you to choose from. Trust me, if you are a hopeless romantic like me, you would drool over their fabulous beds! With free delivery and a price promise, you won't go wrong with them! Imagine, if you find the same item on the internet that has a lower price than they have, they promise to beat that price!

Shifting Careers?

I've been thinking about other work opportunities that doesn't require me to work the night shift. As much as I appreciate the financial rewards I am getting from working in a contact center, I really think it's about time for me to focus on our marriage. But with us working different times, we only get to see each other during the weekends.

I know I am blessed and I still get to see my husband at the end of a work week while others who have their husbands/wives in a different part of the globe only get to see theirs for a couple of years. But sometimes, I get to thinking you know. While we are both here, it's really lame that we only get to spend time with each other for only 2 days.

I've been looking through the internet and it seems that virtual office assistants are booming these days. I'm thinking of giving it a try, even just for part time. If it's going to be on North American time, then at least I get to stay home and see the husband. It is soo tempting! Flexible working hours!

What do you guys think?

Ladder Rack

Our team will be having it's team building on Sunday and we are excited. We will be going to Tagaytay, have lunch and spend the rest of the day in Tagaytay highlands. It would be a great chance to meet some of the other members of the team from the other sites.

One of the concerns we have is the truck of my officemate. It's pretty hard getting onto his truck. We've ridden it several times already and we are having difficulties riding onto it and going down from it. One of our other colleagues suggested he have a ladder rack installed. This way it would be easier for people to get on to that truck. It's quite affordable and convenient too! Not to mention his truck would look way cooler!

I hope he considers buying one!

The FIne Art of Blogging

This has been long overdue.

I've been invited by Dio to write about about the fine art of blogging. I thought I'd share them with you. Honestly, I am flattered. I don't think my blog or my way of writing really carries that much weight but many thanks Dio for the opportunity! I apologize for sending this late though.

I started blogging when I was preparing for my wedding back in 2004. Honestly, I was just curious about my fellow brides-to-be who were so into blogging back then. So I started one. Over time, I realized it was a great way to be able to look back and remember the planning stages of our wedding. After the wedding, I decided to continue blogging. I guess I wanted to be able to look back in my life years from now and remember. Did I improve as a person? What were my challenges and achievements? How did I feel about a certain topic? An online journal you might say.

That said, blogging for me is first and foremost a way to treasure and keep my memories. My posts are random snippets of my life, a window into my world. I always believed in honest blogging, meaning I do not sugar coat my entries. If I feel frustrated about something, I blog about it with as much detail as I could divulge. This way, you'd really get a glimpse of who I am.

Secondly, blogging for me is therapeutic. It is there that I can write my thoughts, frustrations - letting it all out. It's like talking to a friend who really listens - not saying anything, just listening. An added plus is the comments that you get that encourages you, letting you know you are not alone in your journey. With blogging, you get to know other people, gain friends in different parts of the globe. Also, with the friends you gain from blogging, you learn about cultures and beliefs different from your own. I just love getting comments and interacting with the readers.

Third and most recently, I blog because I earn from it. I am not ashamed to say it because I only blog about those that are relevant to my life. I was actuallly hesitant at first because I was afraid I'd get lost in the money-making attitude and flood my blog with a lot of ads but in the end, it is all about choices.

Blogging truly has many benefits that far exceeds the downside and I am planning to take advantage of the benefits and share them with others. I know I need to improve on my writing skills, it's still a long way to go. But that is my goal, to make my blog more interesting, livelier and more fun to read.

A Weekend Birthday

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend?

Mine was busy preparing for my dad's birthday. We were supposed to eat out but due to the recent Glorietta blast, we decided to cook and celebrate from home. It was a pretty simple celebration and my mom and I had fun doing the groceries last Saturday and then going to Farmer's Market Sunday.

We had shrimps and squids for seafood, spaghetti and chicken. My stomach was happy and full lol!

Happy Birthday Papa! May God grant you your heart's desires, good health, prosperity and lots lots more birthdays to come! We love you!

Away

It's my dad's birthday so I will be busy preparing for his feast tomorrow. I'll be back soon. Meanwhile, have a great weekend everyone!

Woot for the Husband!

Woot! The husband was finally offered a job at that company he was eyeing for a long time. It's a privately owned company so this means a better career opportunity for the husband and more career growth!

For 10 long years, the husband has slaved for the government. Pardon the angst, but he stayed there for that long as a - hold your breathe - contractual employee! Yes people, 10 years of not being regularized! Earning the meager salary while those who were lucky enough to be in regular status in the government working pool, often get a lot of bonuses every other month - for what I do not know. I'm sorry if you're reading this and you are a part of the government working pool here, but that is the sad and true state.

The husband stayed there because he was promised an item. Because of his excellent performance he was always promised to be regularized but due to politics and red tape, it never happened. I am glad he has finally opened his eyes to the truth and nothing but. He said good riddance to his old job and would now say hello to the new job. At least, he could get regularized in like 6 months and get to get the benefits he truly deserve.

So Honey, way to go! Congratulations and I wish you all the best in this new career path! I know you will go places. :)

Work and Career

I went back to work today. And as expected, I sorted through hundreds of emails. Things were pretty okay. But towards the end of the shift i got really pissed off at someone. I mean, dude, where's your brain?! Do you even understand what I am talking about?! Or do you want me to spell it out? Grrr! Oh well, just another day in the office.

Because of my indignation. I went home early. I clocked out at exactly 5AM and left the office. Well, that was my sort of resolution since last week. To leave the office at the end of my shift no matter how much more work needs to be done. I mean, I can only do so much. I did my best, did not waste the company's time so I believe I am entitled to go home when my shift ends. I don't have OT pay anyway. :D

Besides, I just noticed that the husband and I rarely talk anymore since we don't get to see each other during the weekdays. It makes me sad. That's when I decided enough is enough. Nothing can ever replace a broken marriage. So now, when I go home early, I get to cook him breakfast and we get to eat breakfast together. Things have been going nicely since then.

I guess I just really need to find that balance. To manage my time more efficiently. Know my priorities. I know I can do it and I will.

Orlando Holiday Villa

My cousin is currently processing her papers for her US Visa for an Orlando Holiday. Her parents are sending her there this December as a gift. I am so envious. I wish I could join her but there are bills to pay so maybe next time.

Anyway, I have heard how beautiful Florida is, weather is much like here in our country. There are a lot of beautiful beaches, attractions and theme parks. Just thinking about it now excites me.

The other day, we both looked over some sites for her Florida part of the trip and one of her major like is the Orlando Holiday Villa. It is a perfect deal for her, her British boyfriend and her friends as it is literally a vacation home. They have wonderful choices from condos to pool homes! The price is affordable too as it could cost less than $10 per person if they directly rent the units. Wow! A perfect deal indeed!

Hard Drive To Go

I can't believe I forgot to post about a recent purchase I made. lol! Anyway, last week I bought myself a 80Gb EHD. Well, I've been meaning to buy one for quite some time now but never got around to doing so because, well, there were other more important things to buy. :) I bought a Seagate brand:

But last week, I had no choice as I will now be bringing my lappie to work. Feeling sosyal. hahahaha! I was actually against the idea. What if my laptop broke because of office stuff? My MS Outlook archive is huge! I would not be able to store it here - well I refuse to! My manager brought his own laptop before and it's HD crashed! Probably because of too much files in it. Oh no! I hope it doesn't happen to me.

Well, anyway, I hope they issue me one instead of me bringing my own. I am really scared as the DELL Inspiron model has no service here! Good luck!

Still At Home...

I am still at home. This time I am down with dysmhenorrhea (spelling?). Darn! I hate this. I was literally crying from the abdominal pains a while ago. I was writhing in pain and the husband was just helplessly watching me and holding my hand which I am very very thankful for. Having him beside me was really a blessing!

To make matters worse, I missed out on online opportunities. Dang! I was hoping I could compensate my absence with at least a bit of online earnings but i fell into a deep sleep and missed out. :( To cheer me up, the husband ordered a double cheese burger meal for me from Mc Donalds. Yum! Feeling much better now actually alhough I still feel a bit of pain.

Tomorrow, it's really back to work for me.

In Need of Cash?

I just remembered 2 months ago when the husband was suddenly admitted in the hospital to remove his gallstones. It was a scary time for me and the entire family. I kept worrying about where to get the money for hospital bills and all. It was a good thing the company had Cash Advance benefits!

You know, payday advance services are really a big help because there are times when something very important hits you and you just need that money quick and fast! It's fairly easy to get one too and you'd be able to get your cash on the same day.

Word of caution though, make sure you pay your cash advance. Be fair, these people helped you in your time of need so it is just fair that you pay them back right?

My Christmas List

I was awake all night and even up til now I am still awake. I needed to be because I was coordinating with the office. Gaaa! I need to sleep as I need to be early for work later. The allergies have fully subsided. Thank you. No more itchiness. No more red splotches.

I whiled away my time doing my Christmas list. Well I already have one, just refined it. Also thought about what to give them cause I'm planning to shop early. I am sure as early as now, tutuban is packed!

What about you? Have you started on your Christmas list? :) What do you hate most or like most about Christmas shopping?

In Love, Age Doesn't Matter

I have an uncle who isn't married yet. He is now 60 years old. He's really nice so I used to wonder why he hasn't married yet. I guess he hasn't met the right girl for him.

Have you ever had that fear of not being able to marry? I did. As I stated before, my dream was to have my own family. I was never the career type of girl. And when thoughts of not getting married entered into my mind, I really freak out! I guess my fears were overrated. Sometimes, it just takes time and senior dating isn't really a bad idea. Who cares how old you are when you love each other?!

So I guess, I can consider my uncle as part of the senior singles group, huh! Well, ain't nothing bad about it. I did suggested he try to look for someone on the internet. Just trying to help out. Not matchmaking at all. After all, if you can build friendship on the net, why not love right? :)

Less of the Allergy, More of the Dreaming

Good morning! I am up and about. The allergies have subsided somewhat but there are still traces of some splotches so I decided to stay at home and communicate with the office via AIM.
Now that I am up and about and have no one to talk to, I got to really think of where I want to be in the next couple of years. I realized I didn't want to be in the contact center industry forever! And it may sound like a simple dream or I may sound crazy, but all I ever want to do is be a stay at home wife (or mom in the future if God allows). I know not all the we plan is in accordance with God's plan but I hope he hears my prayer - prayer of thanks for the corporate experience and the salary that went along with it; a prayer request to make me a stay at home wife/mother in the near future, caring for my own family- my husband and kids.

Want Great Savings without Sacrificing Quality?

I really think coupons are a great way to save without sacrificing value. Especially with the rising cost of living I am sure everyone understands how we need to save up at the same time buy quality gifts.

Since Christmas is about a few weeks ahead and since Christmas shopping here in our country means a multitude of people, pushing and bumping past each other and not to mention long cashier lines, shopping online is a breather! And if you have coupons, it's fantastic!

Anyway, I found a really great gift for my brother today. I got really great Chadwick's coupons! I am sure he will be ecstatic! You should also get some great Chadwick's coupons and discounts! It's a wonderful deal, believe me!

October 15, 2007

Allergies

Ugh! I have allergies. To what, I don't have the slightest idea. All I ate today are the normal things I ate. Things I have been eating before with no problems at all. Then suddenly today, my face is all itchy and to top it off, it's all red and splotchy.

I am not sure if I'd be able to make it to work. Oh no, not on a Monday. I have a lot of deliverables and I can't be out. I hope this allergy subsides soon.

More on our Car Dreams

As was posted previously, the husband and I are really planning on buying our own car. I know it entails a lot of cash but we really need it and it serves another purpose that's in line with my new photography hobby. :) Having our own car would mean travelling to out of town places more conveniently thus being able to take more pictures. yey!

We have a car in mind already and we have already started putting in savings for that big purchase. Now, we are currently taking into consideration some miscellaneous (but so important) costs. I am currently researching on Auto Insurance Plans. This is very important becuase no matter how careful you are, you would never know when an accident could strike.

There are really great deals on how to lower your car/SUV insurance. You just need to find the best one for you. And with the advent of the internet, it is really great that we could check on several insurance quotes online.

I will let you know what I find out about this so stay tuned! :)

Body Clock Issues

My body clock is so ruined. That's one downside of working nights. I don't know, I've been working nights for quite some time now but it is only a few weeks back when I felt my sleeping patterns are really getting crazy.

Weekdays are not a problem, but the weekends, I get to sleep the entire day and then wake up in the middle of the night and then sleep for a couple of hours and then wake up again. Aargh it is driving me nuts!

On Tattoos

I remember back when I was working for another company, I had a colleague who was so into tattoos. It was really funny because I initially thought he had a stray hair on the back of his neck which was placed in a wierd way. Turns out he had a tattoo of a dragon on his entire back.

He once told me that's how he got girls to like him. Well, I initially thought, major insecurity, but looking at it now after watching Prison Break, using it is a way to get more girls is a possibility. I mean, Wentworth Miller in all his tattooed glory. Don't you think so?

Okay, I am not really part of the tattoo lovers group. It is cool though. How about you, do you like tattoos? Do you find them cool? Would you consider tattoo dating? Share your thoughts please.

Picture Day

Another relaxing day at home and what better way to spend it than taking pictures!

I wanted to practice and practice in preparation for my buying the dSLR on December. Yipee! I am not sure yet what to buy though. I am torn between the Nikon D80 and the Canon 400D. I know they're both good cameras, it's just that i would want one that would not require me to updagrade for some time. What would you suggest in terms of performance, quality and durability?

Anyway, let me share with you one of the pictures I took of our nephew Amiel. More pictures can be found here.

Hope

Going back to an earlier post where the husband said he wanted to have a baby. I am trying to stop myself from hoping again. But really, can you stop it?

It's really painful when you want something so bad and get frustrated each and every time you hope for it. Waiting for my baby miracle is never an easy thing. I couldn't count how many times I cried and felt so bad that I am starting to not care about it anymore. The hoping every month and the frustration when you see one line on the test. I am honestly tired. I want to stop. I want to feel like i don't want a baby, but I know, deep down inside I do. I make myself believe that I don't but I do.

I just know it would take a miracle, and even if every part of my being wants to stop hoping, I can't help but do. Simply because, hope all I have left.

Gifts for Him

Like I said in my other post, the holidays are near! Yey! It's the most wonderful time of the year again!

I was able to buy 2 gifts already. My problem now is, I have a couple of guy friends and I am really finding it hard to look for great gifts. Most of all, what am I going to give the husband? I am really thinking about great gifts for him. Yes, you read it right, GIFTS! I figured he's been a really great husband thoughout this year, he deserves more than one, don't you think?

Any ideas?

Just About Nothing

Hmm I am feeling refreshed. I had a great weekend bumming around and doing absolutely nothing hahaha! Well, when you work your a** off the entire week, wouldn't you feel the same way?

The husband and I just wacthing friends, eating a lot of chips (goodbye diet! lol!) and drinking a lot of soda. Tsk! There goes our health. I know it's bad but sometimes I just want to throw my cares into the wind and never think about anything at all.

I am actually contemplating if I would go to work today. My tasks are going to really pile up and I wanted to get a head start. But if you think about it, even getting a headstart wouldn't help because tasks will pile up again.

Blah I am talking nonsense here. Better get a grip of myself.

It's Beginning to Feel like Christmas!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! :)
The weather has been noticeably cooler the past few days with occasional rain showers. Malls and some stores are exhibiting holiday decors; Christmas songs are blasting through different radio stations.
Here on our part of the globe, as soon as the -ber months roll in, it signifies the start of the holiday season. And what other thing do we love most about this holiday? Shopping of course! No matter how tiring, shopping for Christmas gift is always fun!
The one thing that sometimes dampens my Christmas mood is the increasing cost of goods these days. Even a simple thing can cost an arm and leg that looking for quality Christmas gift can be hard. But no worries as I discovered coupon codes. These can help big time. Not that I am being a cheapskate because they offer a lot of wuality items. It's just that I would want to stretch my money to be able to give everyone on my list a gift.
I've crossed out 2 on my list buying the gifts using coupon codes. One of them I bought at Homeclick and the other at Timberland. Can you guess for who I bought these gifts? :)

Work, Dreams and Family

It's been a lazy weekend so far with the husband and I hibernating inside our room watching the tube. It's one of those days when all we want is to lie down and relax. Get that much needed sleep, you know.

I don't have work tomorrow due to the canadian thanksgiving day. But I might go to work to help out Arvin and the gang. I miss that account and I am willing to dish out any help I could give.

Work's been pretty so-so the past few days. It still eats up much of my time though. But plans are underway for me to really take photography as a serious hobby.

The other week though, the husband uttered words I never thought I would hear: "I want to start a family na. Gusto ko na magkababy!" I was dumbfounded. I always knew he wanted it deep inside, but I guess fear of expenses and stuff has always kept him wary. I, on the other hand, have always wanted to have a baby. But frustration after frustration has made me numb about that dream. Brushing it away. And now that the husband has spoken of his intentions, then maybe I could give it another chance. Let's wait and see, shall we?

Shopping Online

I had this great idea a while ago but I don't really know if it is feasible. Well, I am planning to go serious on taking photography as a hobby and maybe in the future, put up a studio or something. I know it's going to take a lot of work but I am willing to go the distance. By December of this year, I will get my DSLR and maybe a couple of lens. I've been reading on photography too and probably enroll myself in a class sometime. Practice is also important so I am trying to organize myself and my time to be able to practice shooting some pictures. Well, amidst all that thinking, I suddenly thought, if ever I go deeper into photography and eventually get some customers, I would want to offer them online services. I don't know, maybe and online secure site where I could upload their pictures and allow them to order prints from me. Or maybe some novelty items with their pictures on it. Something to that effect. I haven't thought it out all well but I would definitely need a company that would host a shopping cart software for me. E-commerce is something really in today. I mean it's easy and convenient! I guess if my idea clicks then my customers would not have a hard time right?

Music and Lyrics

It's funny how music can make your mind wander and go back some place in the past.

Every time I travel, wether it be out of town or simply travelling to and from work, I always put my iPod to work. And some songs really make me remember about some of the good times and some of the bad times.

A certain song made me go way back to my high school days and remember the fun times I had with my friends. There is also a song that made me reminsice about heartbroken moments and made me realize how I learned so much during that time.

If you know me, then you'd know how wierd I am that way. Also, aside from the melody or the tune, I really take note of the lyrics. :) I used to spend time listening to the radio, waiting for my favorite song to air. And when it does, I grab a pen and paper and try to get the lyrics down. lol! I don't know why I did that but I don't anymore. The internet has been a very great help in finding lyrics lol!

Garage Blues

The husband and I are finally planning to get our own car. It's not going to be easy though and I am honestly having reservations since a car not only costs a ton but maintaining it can be quite costly too! But the husband is insistent so plans are underway.

It's really exciting though and I went "Monica Geller" on him the other day. I asked him to clean the garage and keep it clean. Well not only for the future car but the mess was really an eyesore! Now that the garage is spic and span, I am actuallly thinking of getting diamond plate cabinets to further enhance its look.

Hmm..maybe I should get one for our room too! lol!

Practice Shots

Finally got the chance to shoot a few pictures. Let me know what you guys think. I need all the help I can get. I am planning to enroll in a photography class but until I do, I guess these would have to do.

I am honestly thinking about taking Photography as a hobby - a serious hobby. Out of all the many things I want to buy, I finally decided on investing in a DSLR camera. Hopefully, I'd be able to do it by Christmas. Should've done that when I had the chance a few months back. tsk tsk. I guess it's true that regret comes in the end.

But, hey, all is not lost right? lol!

So without, further ado, here's Dina - our niece.:)
